2 Ways That A Tree Service Can Protect Your Property

One of the most important services to utilize as a homeowner is a tree service, mostly because of the various ways in which they can help you protect your property and family. Listed below are two ways that a tree service can help keep your property safe.

Treat Dying Trees

One of the most common jobs that a tree service can perform is to treat dying or weakened trees. In many cases, you will be able to tell that one of your trees is diseased or infested by pests if you notice holes appearing in the trunk, limbs that consistently do not have leaves, or early shedding of leaves. In all of those situations, a tree service will be able to diagnose the issue and provide a plan as to how to proceed.

For example, if the tree is too far gone or there is no cure for the disease that is killing the tree, the tree service will often recommend removing the tree from your property entirely. While this may seem a bit drastic, removing the tree completely will help ensure that the disease does not spread to healthy trees or that the pests do not spread into other areas of your property, such as your home. In some cases, the service may be able to save the tree by simply cutting off an infected or diseased limb if the pests or disease has not reached the trunk.

Trim Your Trees

Another way that a tree service can protect your property is by trimming your trees. Trimming your trees can consist of removing some of the larger limbs from the tree or simply cutting off a portion of the top of the tree if it gets too tall. The reason for trimming your tree is to reduce the risk that the weight and size of the tree will cause it to fall on your home or vehicle.

For example, if your tree gets too high or has too many limbs, the tree can catch a lot more wind during a major storm, which can lead to the tree being knocked over and causing a lot of damage to your property. In addition, if the tree has too many limbs, those limbs can end up catching and holding onto a lot of snow in the winter. This can lead to so much snow gathering on the limbs that the limbs can break and drop many pounds of tree limb and accumulated snow onto your house, vehicle, or a family member.

Contact a tree service today in order to discuss how they may be able to help you protect your property from damage. A tree service can prevent damage to your property by treating dying trees and trimming the trees throughout your property.
